The award-winning MacArthur Place Hotel and Spa's new spa and luxury guest room expansion showcases exceptional architectural design and aesthetics. Properties like MacArthur Place are unique and rare in Sonoma Valley. Larger estates like MacArthur Place form the memory of working farmsteads that used to be expected in the Valley. The primary design inspiration was to enhance one of MacArthur Place’s most compelling aspects, evoking clustered farm buildings in a garden landscape. The new guestrooms and spa were carefully located to be part of an ensemble of mutually related buildings forming a larger campus whole. The design ambition was to reflect the past while meeting contemporary luxury wine country hospitality standards.
